Bridge Volleyball Building a New Home
It has been approximently 21 months since I was first introduced to Bob Foley and David Gonzalez. At that time we were kicking around the idea of a joint venture that would include the Bridge Volleyball Club having a few courts in the sports academy they were thinking about opening. For about four to five months we shopped around for building locations, put in some offers and after being shot down a few times we quitely stopped looking...until June of 2009 when we found out that the original building we were looking at was still vacant. Since that time it has been an amazing journey to get where we are today. As I sit in my make-shift office working on the website, listening to the lift and contractors replacing the lighting, I am reminded that 2009 was a great year!!! However for the players, coaches, parents and supporters of the Bridge Volleyball Club the best is yet to come. 2010 will be the beginning of something new and special for our young club, this is truly a blessing to be able to provide this type of training facility to the south bay. The flooring was delivered on Tuesday, December 29 and the poles, nets and equipment delivered yesterday. We are waiting on some additional lighting to begin the court construction, however it is close, very close. The picture attached is the flooring as it stands right now. We are not certain of the exact date we will be able to start practicing in the facility, it will be in January and it will be a celebration. STAY TUNE!!!
